Ah I hate stuff like this. Stupid kids go out and get their m4's from walmart and shoot eachother without any eye protection on, and the whole airsoft community is blamed for it. This is a reason why in Japan they are now having to regulate airsoft guns.

On a positive note, the article does say that it is dangerous when misused, and cites a recommendation for safety equipment.

Dont tune out the news. Its a good reminder to be vigilant and be proactive about safety.

As Pelti said - that article was mildly surprising, no breast beating and a there was a good balancing mention of safety.

This reminds me of a paintball incident a few weeks back, a kid got shot in the eye with a paintball gun when his friend came out and shot at him, and just kindof unluckely hit him in the eye, this also reiderates our rules about barrel covers, eye/face protection, mags out, and on safe wile people are in the safe zone

Im surprised that they gave our side a say in the article. Usually its just "airsoft guns are horrible and hurt people" that really sucks for that kid though
