I can do that for you...
I think this is the part you want to traslate right?
“Lalagyan lang namin ng chicken wire ang area para hindi makalusot yung mga pellets,” he said.
Transalates to:
"We will put chicken wire around the area so the pellets wont pass through [and hit the spectators]"
Reading that this can lead you to believe one of two things -
1. Yes the BBs we use are THAT BIG, so much so that metal chicken wire - rather than a fine mesh - is used to stop BBs. Because Filipinos are real macho that way. :)
2. Our chickens are that small - 6mm or smaller - we are a frugal people and we dont put anything to waste. So we pop the whole chicken in one go - because Filipinos...are real macho that way. :D
Achems razor - the chicken wire sold back home come with fine mesh to keep rodents from stealing eggs from the chicken coop, we are a practical people too.
Just so you know where this is all happening - It is in a city called Davao, on the southern most landmass, the Mindanao region, of the Philippines archipelago.
Check the lower right portion of the map:

It is a region where prickly Durian fruit is grown (characterized as something that smells like hell but tastes like heaven) and is in close proximity to some of the best tuna fishing grounds in the region.
There you go...expand your mind! If you want to know more, ask your friendly neighborhood Filipino :)
