AK47 Spring Trouble

I recently bought a systema spring. I tried to put it in my AK47, but I can't even pull the spring out of the white tube its in. I tried yanking it out. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

RE: AK47 Spring Trouble

white tube... systema springs come in plastic with a piece of paper inside them. Post a picture.

Nah. I mean the white tube I think is the piston...err piston head. It was already there. I tried to swap springs but my old one was stuck! Then, I called Power Edge Hawaii and asked if I had to shape and bend my spring to fit behind the piston head like the stock one. He told me no, that it could just slide in there. So, I did get it. Totaled my other spring, though and now I am having trouble screwing it altogether because the HIDDEN screw, which I had to dig for underneath plastic, is not stripped....but the end of it is sort of broke. I can't even take it out to add a new one, its a pain in my butt!

In any case, I hope a miracle can happen and I can put my weapon back together. I can't afford to go downtown again, give it to Power Edge, have them hold it for 3-4 days. Then, go back and get it. My schedule doesn't permit me, unfortunately. Man, I wish there was a video on it. I mean I see diagrams of the gun disassembled. Also, on like arniesairsoft and another website I seen it. Just not dumb enough. Maybe they'll invent a Airsoft guide for dummies. I would buy it... This makes me just want to go out and put my weapon on full auto (if it was together) and shoot people in their teeth....

Ok the whole "tooth thing" is really a joke, don't get mad at me yall. I just thought it was kind of crazy and people buy it for some reason.

You snapped the piston head off of the piston. :) It just unscrews, but you have to be careful not to deform the head when you unscrew it. Doesn't matter too much now.

That's what... $30-50 to fix or so in parts? Not too bad.

The teeth thing... well, it's tough to tell at times. People sure are stupid, and in Japan they do play airsoft in pain tourneys, so it could happen. Maybe you're just a sadist airsoft player, you know?

I guess I should've replied a long time ago. Anyway, the guy at the airsoft store put back together my weapon with new spring. I can see the difference. I'll post more under my other topic reguarding my weapon and its trials.
