This story is a PERFECT illustration of why we tell people not to play anywhere but sanctioned fields. They are all lucky that nobody was hurt.

Take away the location (urban center) and focus on the action of the passerby.

They called 911.

It is a logical reaction REGARDLESS of the setting.

These boneheads probably thought no one can see them. They could have been doing it for some time and this is the first time someone actually called the police. It was only a matter of time.

If its possible to reproduce the article, stickify it and lock the thread to serve as a giant warning sign?

The article was forwarded to me by a non-airsoft playing friend. It's particularly scary since it's not the usual kids playing in the backyard but grown men in their 30's playing in the office for crying out loud!

I think that may be part of the reason why we're not seeing anyone quoted in the article saying things about ruining & corrupting children and how evil and wrong things like Airsoft are and all that other junk that, at least I for one, usually associate with mass media articles.

Its not fearmongering like I'm used to seeing. While thats neither here nor there in the sense of how fraked up those guys are in the head for doing that & how that effects our sport, just an interesting observation.

I mean, do you think that the article would have played out differently if it was teenagers, or even college kids or something?
