I am thinking about getting into airsoft sniping, for a change of pace during games, from Asault to sniping half and half maybe. Anyway, I was wondering what a good bolt action sniper rifle would be, but descently priced (dont want to spend a whole lot, like $150-$200). If you could post any reviews, videos, or what ever you think would be helpful to a sniping noob. Looking forward to your help, thanks in advance your friendly neighborhood Villain.
If you're on a budget, many people here would vouch for the JG Bar-10. For the quality, you can't beat the price, which is around $100 for the standard gun, but $135 if you want the scope/G-Spec Package.
Aside from that though, understand that if you want to have a "Hand-Of-God" sniper rifle, it's going to get VERY expensive. That said, this question as been discussed many a time before, give it a quick forum search.
*Edit: Off hand, these two threads come to mind, although they aren't specifically geared towards your question, they might answer them somewhere along the way. You never know, give 'em a skim:
Ok, thanks for the reply broseph, but would really be the difference between the JG rifle you named, and a "hand of god" rife? Pretend I dont know anything about it (because I dont).
I really like my UTG L96. They recently updated it with a new trigger box, hopup chamber, cylinder, and a stock tightbore, so they're pretty nice. With a few DIY mods (ie. foam mod the stock, electrical tape barrel spacers, wash the bucking, teflon taping) it should be pretty good to use for a while.
MadBull also recently came out with a tightbore barrel, and UTG came out with an upgrade kit, both at around $40, so if you're looking for budget upgrading, there ya go. Plus, with L96's becoming more popular, other companies like Polar Star are expanding with more new parts on the market.
To be honest, I have a JG Bar-10, and I hate it. If you really want a VSR, I say you go TM. My stock screws, trigger screws, and trigger screw holes all stripped out, which I obviously wasn't too happy about, especially when it's Christmas day and I'm trying to install new parts. Some people like them though, I'm just one person.
There's also the A&K Dragunov, which I've heard only excellent things about, and the Echo 1 ASR seems to be liked by many, so those are other options to look into as well.
