Army of 2 masks. They are bad@$$, but whats everyone's opinion with them? Just curious.

I think they are really cool but not functional 90.00 dollars for a mask ehh looks cool but I'd have to think about it before dropping that kinda money on a mask

You can not use these in a game they have mesh for protection.

Ok I don't use them I wear safety glasses or googles, but I know people who use them. Never heard of bb's going through the mesh though. I actually shot someone wearing a mask in the face (by accident, just reacting) and at least 2 bb's hit one of the mesh eyeholes. They just bounced off.

It's not about the bb going through it's about the bb shattering on impact... There was a post some time ago about what could happen and a person shot at mesh goggles point blank and there was pieces of bb's everywhere...

You could just wear goggles under and it would be safe but I don't know if that follows field rules sorry...

The fear is not that a BB will go through, it is that a BB will shatter on impact and send sharp fragments through (low quality .12g BBs will shatter almost every time!), I guess it wouldn't be dangerous if you wore ANSI shooting glasses underneath, but it wouldn't be practical.

Hey that's all right I understand. 99.5 % of the time everyone who plays is using .20 or .25 bb's (the .5% is somehow a .12 gets in there), and it is very unlikely that someone would get sprayed point-blank, they would get safety-killed at that point. I don't remember if they wear googles under the mask, or if they wore safety glasses under them. anyway, I didn't know that .12 bb's were that crappy of quality.

.2g BBs are considered the standard for a reason

And while it is unlikely that a BB would go through the mesh or the shrapnel would go seriously hurt you, we remove every risk possible in our game play. It only takes one freak "sorry it was just a reaction" shot point blank in the mesh by some kid running around with a 399.99999999FPS gun to blind you for life, so is it really worth the risk?
