Awsome possums easy avatar tutorial!

Well, first off avatars can only be 100 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall and 29kb(killa bytes) big. now 100 by 100 pixels is this big:

So to make an avatar appear you need to enter a URL in the area circled or upload it to the forum database (where someone else could possibly use your avatar):

Now to some of you you might not know what a "URL" is. A URL is a internet address of some sort or is also known as a uniform resource indentifier.

To upload an avatar to the forum's database, go to "My account" and click "change avatar", but make sure it's still 29KB or under and is either 100 by 100 pixels or under. So go to "My Account" and click "change avatar" and then you'll get to a panel that looks like this:

Then click the "browse" button which is also circle or sqaured. After you have done all that jibber jabber when you've clicked the "browse button" this window:

Will appear and you'll be able to access your files from that window just Make sure the image is within the requirements because if it is over 100 by 100 pixels you will anger the weasel. So I think this has explained how to uppload your avatar If I missed anything or if you have any question I'll help asap.

This might be OT for this post - but can soneone make a sig guide too please. I've read mostly whats appropriate and whats not but for some reason when I put in something there it doesnt show up.

/Good Job Possum - can you add a guide on how to make animated avatars?

I did everything you said with the right size and extension (jpg;gif) and it still didn't work for me.

Why not and how can i fix it? :x :x :x :x :x

In the forums, click on profile (it's in the grey bar at the top of the page). Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to the "Avatar Control Panel". Click the button that says "From PostNuke". This should import your settings and your avatar.
