Don't bother with Google maps... ;) We've all tried that at one point or another. The terrain isn't the problem though. We can't use every field because the paintballers are first priority at PL.
Alright me and my dad (and Jay too :) since he'll be in the car) will bring the bomb tomorrow. There's one more thing I have to add to the scenario but I'll explain at the field since its complicated to explain in writing.

This should be fun!
Louis, can Kevin have dibs on bomb squad for the first try if you or your dad don't want to(or Jay, although it would be funny to make Jay bomb squad)?

He can be on the bomb squad. I think the way I'd want to split up the teams is about 50-50 or 60-40 favoring the SEALS. We'll just pick teams the way we always do at games for the most part.
We eventually found the bomb with three minutes left on the timer, then it took two minutes to get a bomb tech over to us to get it disarmed. Sadly, we couldn't find the codebook so the tech snipped a random wire...the wrong wire. I enjoyed it though and I have to say that Louis's dad did an excellent job on the bomb. Oh and good job on the scenario Louis.

Right now my dad's working on another way to use the bomb. Something with that fake dynamite we brought. You'll have to plug it in to arm it. I'll post up more details when I see what he's up to...
Now that you've brought this thread to my attention, I'll mention the bomb has been modified. Instead of using a mechanical timer, it now uses a digital timer and can be set for any time frame. That means the game can be longer or shorter than a half hour.
I think if you get a 60 minute timer then the seal team should only
know were the bomb is and a picture of the man who is carrying the codebook.
That way is of an option to get the codebook.
So they can just rush one objective at a time they will split up and be more strategic.
also the 30 minute would make it more realistic and fast pace.
because
If you wanted to blow something up, would you make an hour timer?
no you would give yourself just enough time to plant it and get out

in my opinion, an hour timer would give the seal team just the right ammount of time to find the codebook and defuse with unlimited respawns on a the 5's for each team. I think also that, once the bomb is defused, the marine team would need to be pulled out for extraction. The respawn then should be cut for the marine team and the respawn should be on the 5's for the terrorists, so that the terrorists still have a chance of winning after the bomb is defused. This will make the extraction just as important as defusing the bomb.

That's only if you're just demo-ing the target. If you're holding it for ransom (with some hostages), you make a really long timer, so you have enough time to set up a very fancy escape when the "good guys" rush in at the last minute. Because if the target it demo-ed, you no longer have leverage: you just blew it up.
Bringing this back from the dead because me and my dad are working on a new bomb. Except this one will be using a remote detonator. I'll have to work up a scenario once we get the thing complete. Right now we just have to work on putting the whole project together and of course making it look cool and bomb-like. It uses an RC remote that can be used at a distance. The range can be varied depending on how far we want it. Should have it done in maybe a week or so, so stay tuned folks!
