Is this BYA?

Is playing on 28 acres of private land in the middle of a rural county with the owner present and permission from the local PD considered BYA? I'm having a little trouble understanding what is and isn't considered BYA.

For the purposes of this forum, yes, it is considered BYA.

The only thing we consider "sanctioned fields" are businesses like paintball/airsoft fields. The types that carry BIG liability insurance policies.

Agreed, It's all good having permission from the owner and local PD. The big prob is w/o the insurance there is nothing to protect the owner or the player fom legal action if a injury or property damage accures. With out the field being a sanctioned field safety problems ALWAYS becomes a issue on way or another.

If the owner has a waver and makes you sign it in order to play as well with other things regarding permission...I think it is fine.

Thank you for your opinion. However we don't, and that is what is important for posting on these privately owned forums.
