Hey guys I just recently bought outty's cybergun/kwc desert eagle .50AE full metal full auto version. Right now it is a Co2 blow back pistol but I was wondering if it is possible to modify it to take green gas. I'm not much of a gas pistol expert so take it easy with me on this.

Reason: adding something
I believe that if you have green gas magazines for it, you can use green gas. Expect lower FPS (again, don't quote me on that, this is based on verbatim info from knowledgeable friends a long time ago) but better cold-weather performance.

Your FPS will be lower with green gas as opposed to CO2, but CO2 is actually better for cold weather than green gas. Close though.

CO2 is higher pressure, so more FPS and better cold weather performance, all the cold does is lower gas pressure by taking some energy out of the gas. (Lower temp = less energy = less FPS)
Personally I would rather have CO2 as long as it is under 400FPS, the CO2 magazines don't leak as much as green gas and CO2 usually lasts a lot longer! You can get about 20-40BBs with green gas, but I've gotten over 400BBs with a CO2 cartridge!
If you want to use it as a CQB weapon (15 feet) then green gas is the way to go (that is if you don't get an AEP for that, but I digress) but if your secondary is in case your AEG goes down, stick with CO2

Reason: double post
Well since it is a desert eagle I only get 40 rounds out of one 12 gram. And also the C02 is ridiculously hard to screw in. I can't do it myself.
It should not be hard to screw in make sure it is sitting straight in the mag when you screw it in and make sure the pressure is out when you unscrew the co2. As for green gas I do not believe I have ever come across a green gas version of the mag made by cybergun. That is not to say that other mags from different manufactures would not work I'm just not sure which ones would.

Ok just got back from the army navy store. The reason the c02 was having problems was because the little ring of I guess silicone in the mag where you screw in the Co2 was completely busted, after that it should work fine again. Drew also tested out the gun with a green gas mag and it worked perfectly so I am satisfied now.

You going to continue with the Co2 or switch to green gas then?

I had both versions of this KWC/cybergun desert eagle. C02 and green gas. The Mags are not interchangable. While they do fit in the gun, the wrong gas for the wrong gun will not work.
