I'm sorry, I cannot allow the flagrant disregard for the Cheese Steak to continue! Pats & Genos are tourist traps! Their meat is substandard their bread is subpar their service is snooty and not for nothing but Pats is a dirty place...

Seriously though, good cheesesteaks are from the smaller places, Pats & Genos are nice experiences, but I think that as far as the quality of food goes... you guys can do better than that man!
/Not ragging on you guys, a lot of people I know from outside the city don't know any other places

Oh please. Pat's invented the cheese steak. No lie. The cheese steak was invented by Pat and Harry Olivieri, the owners of Pat's.

Debatable as that has always been, wouldn't change the fact that the guys probably spinning over in his grave at what the place has become now. They use Grade-D meat, they use rolls made by some company based outa Delaware, their cheese is older than half the people on the boards, and the people who work there are pricks to boot. This is ontop of their insane prices. You can get a cheesesteak thats 100 times better for half the price anywhere else in the city practically.

I haven't been to Pat's too recently. I went there when the guy was still alive and the place isn't what you guys are saying it is.
On the other hand, in Fort Myers Florida there's a place called "The Philly Junction" and the owners are people from Philly who import their rolls from Philly and use Grade-A Meat. I didn't think of it until Jay said Pat's uses rolls from Delaware. The P.J. has some amazing cheese steaks too.

4.Roma Pizza(Another Local Italian Restaurant)
5.Rosareo's(Yet another some what local Italian Restaurant)

Mine would be umm that place down at ocean city NJ call MAC AND MACOS (sorry if i spell it wrong.)
mac and mancos!!!!! He wins!!! Defiantly the best pizza in the world!!!!! For breakfast id have to go with uncle bills pancake house (also at ocean city) and for lunch kessels (once again in ocean city).
