Just remember there may be an overarching editorial policy for the whole network, each individual affiliate has leeway for 'off the wall' stuff.
So what may be seen as an evil thing in the backdrop of urban blight in Philly - that may not necessarily be a concern in Utah where woodland recereational activities are more acceptable.

More like the corporate version of "CYA" Cover Your Assets... this way if Airsoft was suddenly declared a national sport they could pull this out of their Assets and say "Look! We supported Airsoft when no one did!"

That's pretty cool. It would be even better if PocoLoco was on the news for MS.

NO!!
The Press WILL be denied at MS and PocoLoco. This comes up everytime we have a big game.
Search the forums, it's been discussed. We've done the press route already, and it was bad. 1 good story out of 1000 does NOT suddenly mean the media has changed their mind.
Maybe calling a local paper or news group and telling them about it would get them to come out.
With the whole Ft. Dix thing recently, Virginia Tech, and the high rate of gun violence in PA, now would be an especially bad time to draw any sort of media attention to a bunch of young men "training with terrorist weapons", as they'd likely spin it.

Has it been a year already? How soon we forget.
Just incase you didn't read Randy's giant red "NO", I'll say it again:
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY MEMBER OF THE PRESS BE ALLOWED ACCESS TO ANY C3 GAME ANYWHERE.
I don't care about you and your silly school paper, I mean the real media. Airsoft survives by being quiet. The more mainstream we get, the more restrictions there will be on us. Do us ALL a favor and never mention getting the media involved again. Ever.
If you think that getting the media involved is a good idea, read the other threads in this section. If you still think it's a good idea, please slam a car door on your head.
Sorry for bringing it up! I do realize that under most circumstances press is bad and I was in no way telling people to invite the press. I was just giving out a possibility, a question at most. I know that anything must be ran through admins first anyway. I also fully agree with you lou, I didn't quite think of it that way until you mentioned it. I'm sure its possible for it to turn out positive, but most news stations would put a negative spin on it.
