Well everyone, it appears yet another of my rifles is tired of life...my fn2000's air nozzle broke. And me being the moron I am, I decided to open the gearbox...only to realize I am way out of my league. So I figured I'd ask on the forums to see if anyone had experience with the jls fn2000's gearbox. So? Anyone want to help out?
And on an unrelated note, my m4 recently stopped feeding. Any ideas as to why? It still moves the air nozzle, etc. but no bbs feed.

I vaguely remember it being a version 3 gearbox, Go watch some http://www.mechbox.com videos, it should help you out. Don't approach this as a mistake, its a learning experience. AND you are learning on a clone. Worst comes to worst drop a complete mechbox in,

See, that's the problem...the JLS fn 2000 uses a totally wacked up hybrid gearbox from what I've read. And it looks f'ed up.

As for no BBs feeding, can you give more details as to what you did to troubleshoot? Did you try different magazines to see if it's a matter of magazine-spring failure? Do you feel air coming out of the barrel or nozzle when dry-firing (no mag)? I'm relatively inexperienced troubleshooting, but first thing I could think of was a weak magazine spring (just disassemble and stretch it out for a few minutes). Make sure your hop up unit is screwed in place and hasn't been moved (and maybe check to see if your hop up spring that is above the inner barrel is still there, it acts as a buffer and sometimes if it got screwy it might misalign the hop up feed unit)
Alright, I went ahead and did some digging to see what I could find, and I came up with one of Jon's posts linking to an in-depth look at the JLS' internals which is also courtesy of Jon. Don't know how much help this will be, but hopefully it will clear up some confusion concerning the gearbox and its internal components.

If you teammate is planning on increasing the F2000's performance I suggest replacing the hop assembly, tappet plate, spring guide, nozzle, selector switch, o-ring, and barrel, and bushings. The F2000 can actually house a G3 length inner barrel if you keep the outer barrel on. You can Pm me with any other questions. I worked on the gun for a while.
Just found out the problem is a broken air nozzle and tappet plate...thanks for your help guys. I'm looking foreword to seeing if I can get this thing shooting again.
