Funny story for my TSD AK-47
O man, I just got a top cover for my TSD AK-47 with a rail mount. It was a very exciting purchase for me because I love that thing and it work so good. Funny this is that it didn’t describe the product all that great, but in the reviews it said things about people having to cut it down to size, do a bit of grinding to make it fit. That totally wouldn’t be a problem my grind doesn’t get enough use anyway. So I go ahead and but the thing anyway. Much to my surprise it comes in and is too short. So I’m pissed shooting fireballs from my A** and lightning from my eyes, crazy “Braveheart” stuff. So I get on my computer and email the company to see what’s up. So I give them my email and my cell number the whole nine yards because I really want this resolved fast (I got a big game next weekend). No more than an hour I get a call from some (909) area code, I don’t think anything of it, (would you). The guy leaves a message and it’s the product manager of the company. Needless to say I call back straight away. I end up finding out that this part is for the real Kalashnikov and that’s why it doesn’t fit. I mean it’s only off by like 3/8” but its enough to be a problem, you can’t really add metal to things. So I talk to him for a while he offers me a refund and even gives me a name for another company that sells a different item that’s supposed to have a few different dimensions but again it would be for the real AK-47 not an airsoft gun. So he gives me a few ideas to modify the item I just got to maybe make it fit, but none of them would really work that great. So I have to cut the rail set up off the new top cover and wield it to my original top cover. Not a big deal but a funny story.
Enjoy,
Ice
