Question goggles

I was walking through Dick's sporting goods the other day and happened across these. Would these be playable?

Does it say ANSI-rated? Are they full-seal? I think you'll find your answer.

/Although, off the bat they look to be the same general dimensions of swimming goggles so that's probably a no-go. And for $15, ANSI-rated might be a stretch.

M'kay. And upon inspection they appeared full seal.

Yeah, I think they're full-seal per se, but not to the field standards. No temple protection or something to that extent.

Ah I see. Well here's a question. What if I just took the goggles off of a paintball mask, would THAT be appropriate protection?

Yep, that's a fairly popular combination. Full-seal paintball goggles pretty much always cover more than just the immediate area around the eyes, they also get a substantial extra surface-area coverage.

That's how I got my goggles, $30 ESS Strikers plus $8 fan, and then you have magical...fan goggles!

What you linked to corry, seems like something I'd wear for shooting a springer in a backyard at a tree, wouldn't trust it to stop BBs directed at me...or a paintball to the temple for that matter.

I would highly recommend a full mask/ goggless, especially if you plan on playing indoor. Ive been hit in the lips way too many times, and it hurts like a bitch! I would suggest a JT flex 7 or flex 8, Ive had mine forever and I wont get rid of it until it turns to ash haha.

I've played with full masks and played with goggles and been shot in the mouth and honestly I prefer the latter because the masks are waaayy too hot.

Flex7/8s are mostly made of a light rubber, not the heat genetating heavy hard plastic hense the "flex."

Doesn't matter man, anything that if I exhale traps the hot air in I can't play effectively with.

understandable, just google them though, plus if you dont like them you can always take the mask part off, and run just with the goggle part. I do this when I snipe.

I know exactly what you are talking about man. It's all preference.

I have goggles. Just have to take the paintball mask off around them.
