Great mouth protection

I posted about mesh mouth protection a while back. The products were only avaiable in Russia, and other European countries, but I found a US retailer: http://www.bitterendgoggles.com/bitt...lower_mask.htm

i feel these are a great solution for full face protection due to there low profile. These face masks combined with a full seal ANSI rated goggle will definitely keep your mouth, nose, and teeth protected, and will not trap heat in like a balaclava will.

Maverick they look great but i got a question? What if a bb hits it and breaks up? Wouldn't that mean the bb will basically explode and possibly send bbs into your face?

The only problem with the bbs breaking up on impact with the mesh is if you are using it as a means of eye protection since the fragments have the possibility of getting stuck in your eyes. In the case of using mesh as mouth protection if a bb broke on impact the fragments would only hit your face at a pretty low velocity. Worst case scenario, you would get bb dust/fragments in your mouth, best case scenario, you just saved yourself an unpleasant trip to the dentist.

Ordering one in od green i think this is 50 bucks well spent on airsoft aside from my ESS goggle.

Its not going to get into your eyes so how will that be an issue? Your wearing full sea goggles so theres no way it can get in your eyes.

Maverick i did not talk about eyes at all in my three sentences. All i was worried about was what if there was enough force still to cause harm to your mouth area or possibly a tooth.

I have one of those masks and used it at Op:FW. It is not uncomfortable but it is not perfect. You need to bend the area that goes in front of your nose and it takes a while to get it right. I'm still working on that!

I decided to not wear it after lunch at the game. My first death after lunch was from a BB to a tooth. No injury but I was lucky. I will opt to wear it in the future!

This stuff certainly looks to be a welcome alternative to disgusting, hot, restricting and occasionally mildewy-when-wet padded face masks, especially for people who need or want to be particularly careful about lower face protection. (I have braces, and really can't afford to take hits to the mouth.)

The mask from ebaybanned sure looks to be the same as mine. If it is and you can buy it for that price, I would say jump on it! That's a heck of a better deal than what I paid for mine...

He does...from the Chinese take out menu of course. But anyway, these seem to be very good. I would also like clarification as to weather or not they are accepted as full face protection for those of us under 18.

Did you look at the tests they did with there masks? They shot it several times with a 400+ fps M16 at 6' and it didnt penetrate. Its designed not to cause harm to your mouth and teeth......
