C3 Airsoft,
Hello everyone. Tonight my Dad just ordered a Madbull 6.03 Tightbore barrel for my P90 off of Trinityairsoft. It's been over a year since Lou showed me how to install tightbores in an airsoft gun, and I do not remember how. So, I'm asking for someone with experience that knows how to install a tightbore, and is willing to put it in/help me put it in my P90. I will only be able to do this at Linglestown Paintball at the next game.
The P90 is the easiest gun in the world to do a tightbore for as Bracket just showed you, but if you really don't feel confident then I can show you next time there is a LP game (assuming it's not a Saturday I'm working).

Yes, against the arrow on the sticker or clockwise on the P90.

Okay, right now I'm in the process of changing the barrel. The stock barrel is out, I'm about to take out the bucking, and I'm not sure what goes up/ down and in the hop up. So, the HOLE on the end of the barrel goes DOWN and in, right?
I know I fail epically and all... but if that was easy... I can't imagine myself doing an M4 or Mp5... There's these grooves on the hop up wheel (well, rather inside it) that I got screwed up and had to adjust... THEN Lou here said the hole goes UP and I had to redo it... But none the less I have a P90 victory. I might just post how it works tomorrow when I get a chance to use it. Again, thank you.

Wow everytime I try doing something good to a gun it makes it worse. So, I did all the necassary procedures, and I took it slow because I didn't want to screw up. So I took the barrel/hop up out and got ready. I turn the hop up aaall the way off. And then I took the clip off and etc... and I change it out. But the bucking is somehow inside the barrel slightly blocking BB passage. So today I realized the blockage and while shooting because it was shooting 2-3 shots on semi but pretty great on full auto.
So, I take it out and try to adjust again and make the bucking go in better by lubing it. It went in the same way. Same blockage of the barrel. But I shot it again to see if it did anything. I tried ajusting it again and shooting but yet again, nothing. So I decided to see if the stock barrel shot any better. But no, it was shooting horribly. By horribly I dont mean innacurate or slow. I mean the range was horrible. I had the hop up on full just to get it out maybe 100 feet.
So, apparently my hop up is broken I believe and I'll have to get one... I have not a clue how it is broken! I turned it off at all barrel swaps. I'm going to have to buy a new P90 hop up. I'm just going to have to look around the forum to find a good one to buy...
May your luck be twenty times better than mine....
Patrick
Don't throw anything away, bag up any parts you have and set it all aside - I'll take a look at it as soon as a game allows. Alternatively you can take it to Mav at Mont Army Navy when he's on the clock and have him take a look at it.
Just so you know there is SUPPOSED to be a portion of the hop-up bucking that drops down into the barrel through the hole cut in the top of the barrel at the back - that's not what you're talking about, is it?

Patrick, before you worry about finding your new hopup, you can buy one here for $17. But before buying your new part, you should do what Jay said and make sure it isn't really broken.
Good luck, I hope it's not broken!

My Dad took me down to Montarmynavy today. We got settled with Mav and he's going to be taking a look at the hop up and run some tests he says. ALSO bought some goggles for when my Dad "plays" and a dump pouch. Anyone in North Phila looking for a great airsoft store, Montarmynavy is the way to go. It's got some great gear and guns. Even parts. I saw an M4 carrying handle, a crane stock, a dust cover, small foregrips and a bunch of other good accessories and mags. Nice store.
