Just....wow

Our first nitwit used his airsoft gun in a home invasion. He actually demanded that the homeowners call the police. Notice he was charged with REAL gun crimes.

http://www.kptv.com/news/21521282/detail.html

Moron # 2 was shooting at the windows of a business. Then he shot at the police. Good thing the police were on the ball and realized it was airsoft - they didn't shoot back. Then he cried like a bitch for his mug-shot!

If people keep this up, Bad things may happen. I was looking at the airsoft in the news posts and I see a lot of people against airsoft guns. These people could get them banned.

He detained them against their will under threat of injury/death (he was armed). That is kidnapping.

Sometimes even if you hold a criminal while waiting for the police, if the charges are dropped, they can arrest you for kidnapping.

I'm confused, how did an airsoft gun cause 15,000 dollars in damage to the building by breaking windows, and how was the gun able to penetrate said windows? I was unaware they were that powerful.

Well, windows are expensivem and also, he might have shot out a few of them. Plus labor to switch out the broken ones with the new ones. And then the higher up they are, I suspect they might cost more for labor.

The article first states airsoft rifle, then later states AIR RIFLE. Theres no way in hell an airsoft gun shattered store-front windows. The BBs would disintegrate before that glass broke.

A moron non-the-less. But ignorant journalists who can't (or just won't) differentiate airsoft guns from BB guns are doing just as much harm to our sport as these degenerate retards.

I won't even get started on the parents..

I don't think there were any parents involved. The guy in the second article was 21 years old.

True, but parent(s), or parent, or some kind of legal guardians attempt to raise these losers at some point in their lives.

I'm probably going to get a lot of negative remarks from people, but I actually feel a little sorry for him. He's pretty young, and he's pretty much just f*cked up his life because now he's got a record. And now no decent college will re-accept him. He'll never get a decent job either; all because of one very stupid decision. A bit sad really, both for our sport and for youth who screw their lives up for such petty things.

There's my "Wolf" Quote for the day. And yes, for anyone who is wondering, I do put "Wolf" in front of random things in order to simulate random customization.. Well anyway, I'm gonna' get off the "Wolf"puter, maybe play a little "Wolf" 4 Dead 2 Demo, and then I guess watch a bit of "Wolf"Busters on Discovery "Wolf".

Well, G'night guys...

I agree with you 100%. For the rest of his life, this guy is going to be judged on the worst decision he's made.

People don't THINK about what they are doing. All actions have consequences. Some of them are pretty dire.

He'll be fine. He'll serve his time and then no one will care. Colleges really don't give a rats ass about your criminal record when you get older. Especially considering online courses are becoming more and more popular.

But as far as anyone feeling sorry for him... perhaps you've forgotten the story already:
He. Shot. At. COPS!!!!!

No sympathy. None. This wasn't an accident. This wasn't in the heat of the moment. This tool made the conscious decision to not only unload on a building (and cause damage to people's property), but to THEN unload on cops.

We really need to stop sympathizing for the criminally stupid.

The only way I could possibly feel sorry for this putz is if he has a mental disease and was off his medication. But until that is brought to light, I hope he gets the full penalty.

Here's an idea I am pulling out of nowhere, anyone ever hear of suicide by cop? What I am writing makes complete sense to me. The guy is sick of life, he even LOOKS like he was harassed by bullies (trust me, I know from experience) or screwed over in some kinda scam, whatever. So, what does he do since he can't obtain, or is to scared to get a real steel gun? He gets an airsoft or bb gun, whatever gun it was. Fires it at a building (maybe something of a vendetta, who knows), cops obviously are called. He shoots at them hoping they will take it as a threat and shoot back and kill him.

I still don't feel sorry for that. In fact, it just adds to my anger if that is at all true.

Look, you wanna end your life, go for it. But don't be a selfish dick about it. Don't infringe on other people's lives because you weren't able to cope.

These retards who think "Suicide by cop is the best way" never consider the emotionally toll it takes on the cop. All they care about is riding that coward-wave all the way to the end. You wanna go out in a blaze of glory? Figure out a way that doesn't leave other people cleaning up your mess.

I agree 100% Randy. It is dicks like these that ruin great and fun sports like airsoft, whether what I said is true or not.

I don't feel bad for the guy, I was putting the possibility of that scenario out there since no one else did and so there are more ideas instead of the 2-3 out there now.

Yeah, I suppose you're right. No real reason to feel sorry for people who aren't sorry themselves. Then again, I would like to say that "Suicide by Cop" is a very likely scenario. If that's the case, then he'd clearly have some sort of mental illness for which I feel sorry for him.

Could go either way I suppose, but we probably won't find out anytime soon.

Regardless, I just hope these morons start to dwindle in numbers soon, or we're going to have some problems with the State Legislature.

I dont see it messing up airsoft. Everyone always throws " This is going to get airsoft banned". If things where that easy to ban, BB guns in my eyes would have been banned over the past 50 or so years. Not like any things ever happened or worse with BB guns. People have been beat with pool sticks.(Maybe more should have been). Not like there goes the game of playing pool. A ban is on the way. Baseball should be banned due to the use of those crazy baseball bats. Omg we cant forget knives. Randy cut his finger once!..

The simple fact is ANYTHING can be tagged as A INTRUMENT OF CRIME. It all comes down to how a object is used.
Sure this along with all the other stupidass crimes commited with airsoft guns dont make the sport look to great. But, this happens with everything.
Crimes get commited, there is always the down fall and side effects to placing a ban on anything. Look at liquor in the 1920's during the Prohibition. People ALWAYS find a way around when things are banned.
Maybe someday regulations maybe placed in affect for airsoft. They really would affect the D-Bags playing back yard airsoft or transportation to and from the field.
On a good note "most" of the members of C3 already stick to common scense rules.

It's not to hard to see this kid has some "issues" even before hearing or reading this story. Then after reading the story you know this kid has some real mental probs.

I can agree with most of this, but how often do you actually see banks being robbed by bb guns? Or pool sticks? Not too many crimes are commited with these because they aren't generally "intimidating". A police officer can tell if the suspect is armed with a pool stick. In which case he tazes him. But when you're wielding a full metal, no orange tip airsoft gun, the cop isn't going to know that it's fake. At that point, it is infringing on the cop's ability to do his job, which can be interpreted as causing a general danger to the public, Which can result in a ban.

Prohibition was not because of crimes. It was an initiative taken by women of the time period because they believed that alcohol was basis for immoral domestic behavior. And so, there was no one specific incident that caused prohibition, just Women who believed alcohol caused problems. Which it could, if it was used improperly. I have no doubts that were people who could be competent at work, a good husband, father, and be piss drunk at a bar on the weekends as well. And alcohol got banned anyway. Not because of people who were capable of using it responsibly, but because of people who couldn't. Airsoft is the same. if this keeps happening (Irresponsible people using airsoft guns) people are going to start petitioning for bans, not because of a responsible community like us, but because of "Cry-Baby Mugshot" over there.

P.S.) If it wasn't for prohibition, We wouldn't have NASCAR, So one good thing did come out of it.

Well the Randy cutting his finger just means he is an emo in training(hasn't ranked up to wrist yet kekekeke). But the public doesn't look at a bat or a pool stick and instantly think crime, people look at airsoft and can think it is a real gun. When I came to Poco Loco in August the first thing I noticed was almost no one had orange tips. If I didn't know they were airsoft and walked by seeing kids with a gun I would be scared. If I saw a bat or a pool stick I wouldn't think much about it. The fact I am trying to say is they replicate real guns. They can be made to look like real guns, hell even staring down a barrel looks real. This makes airsoft seem dangerous and so it could be in jeopardy.

The point of bring up the pool stick or a bat is to show ANYTHING can be a instrument of crime. I'm talking after the fact that a crime has been commited. Not people standing around in the safe zone

Now the guy crying in his mugshot if sooooooooo priceless.
The best part is picture him in County Prison and other inmates seeing his mugshot on the net.
Tell me he wont be the new girl on the block for the evening.
