I, along with a few friends, intern at the Wachovia Center and we were leaving just as this was all unfolding. It was pretty ridiculous. There was no traffic going in or out, so naturally, the roads were amazing. I'm pretty sure they forced people to get out and walk to either Jersey or Philadelphia.
On another note, some kid was walking around my school, after hours, with an airsoft rifle and the school called and emailed every address they had on the books. I'm not sure who the kid was or what he was doing, but I doubt he was going to shoot anyone. But then, we don't know that, and much like the police, would rather shoot the kid than take the chance of getting shot.

wasn't an airsoft gun. If it was, they would've said it was an airsoft gun. They keep calling it a fake gun, which makes it something else (though aside from Airsoft, I have no idea what)
Haha, nice.
Who wouldn't want an AK like that?
/Sarcasm

Reading all that makes me come to this conclusion:
The guy with the PPK got shot because he aimed his gun at a cop.... now, why would he do that?
The 8 year old girl carried a luger to school... the first question is "Where would an 8 year old get a new-looking WW2 luger?"
Anyone that threatens a police officer, robs a store, or brandishes an airsoft gun, deserves to be treated like it was a real gun.
After all, why the heck not just get your hands on a real gun instead of the fake one.... that could save lives, at least some people are being robbed with guns that arent real, and pose no real thread besides a welt on your arm.
The stupid people that do the bad things are getting killed, not the victims. So I say, whats wrong with that? Just because they can talk the talk but cant walk the walk doesnt mean that they should be sympathized with.
Imagine what it would be like if the criminal knew that when the pulled the trigger a real bullet would come out of the barrel, not a harmless plastic BB.
