More Saw Trouble

Yesterday's airsoft game was going great for me, with my gun just repaired days ago, everything seemed fine.

Guess what. All is not well.

my a&k m249 is once again failing. in 2 ways this time.

first and most dangerous is a MASSIVE runaway gun problem. This used to be "not so bad". the trigger would either be normal, or act like a toggle switch, pull once for on, pull again for off. I asked M A/N to replace the trigger switch, but they were out of stock on them, so we just left that off the last maintenance list.

Now, the gun is in way worse shape. When a battery is connected, the trigger will be pulled and it will continue firing for a seemingly random amount of time before stopping. Sometimes 20 rounds, sometimes pushing 300 rounds.

Now, the problem resides in the trigger switch as i have been told many many times. However, i noticed another problem that may or may not affect the issue.

on the saw, there is a Pin in front of the trigger assembly. This pin is responsible for holding the trigger assembly onto the rest of the gun. There is a plate on either side of the assembly that the pin passes through, and through the assembly in the middle. The plate on the left side of the gun has broken, fallen off somewhere in the woods, and now the trigger assembly wiggles left to right slightly. could this have something to do with the problem?

second. My gun has experienced a rapid and sudden drop in accuracy. before the riot shield match, i was going along just fine with a nice straight line of BBs. During the riot shield match, i noticed that my gun's accuracy pattern was consistent with my throwing handfuls of bbs. i had a human sized spread at 20 feet. Now, i know you will all say "hop up" for this one, but maverick put in a new bucking not even a month ago for me.

Ideas? cause the repetitive maintenance is getting really old really fast.

As for the accuracy problems, check your barrel for dirt and other nasties. If there are any deformities/dents in the barrel, that would also do it.

Check to make sure the chamber is still in one piece as well. My friend had a G36K doing the same thing, and his hop up chamber actually just fell apart and needed to be put back together.

I can fix your gun totally in an hour....

I have switches in stock....

I have the metal plate that's broken on your gun in stock....

your accuracy problem is likely fixed thru a thorugh take down and cleaning of barrel/replacing of hop bucking....

parts: $40
labor: $30

total: $70

guaranteed....I'm getting good at these clone SAWs.....

(SAW switch problem fix: a basic MOSFET. it takes the high current flow out of the switch....the current SAW switches just aren;t made to reliably handle the current long term....)

apologies for the double post.

forgot to mention, the area above and around the trigger switch gets hot when firing long bursts and remains hot. Is this normal due to the nature of a long burst or could there be something else wrong?

also, old man, do you have some sort of epoxy or glue that works well on plastic? my saw stock thinks its a sideways break action... the stock pins have come loose or out or something, i can now bend the stock, weather i want to or not, almost 45 degrees to the left.(see picture)

and i am not sure if you and i are talking about the same plate- here is a picture reference for that too

(with part)
(without part)

oh, and the front sight falls off every 4 seconds.

Old Man, do you do the MOSFET fix that you mentioned? I wouldn't mind that on my CA M149.
