Motor problem from what I think

My gun in middle of games will stop shooting so then I unscrew the plate under the hand guard and tighten it again and my gun will shoot again only to play with it for another 30min or so and it will happen again. If anyone has some advice on fixing it that would be greatly appreciated it.

Make sure your wires going to the motor are going through those little tunnels in the pistol grip and not through the hole meant for the pinion gear.

Also check to see that your little metal disc isn't touching the metal of the connection wires, that could be causing your motor to short out. A little masking tape on the wire and base plate where it could be touching can fix this.

Are you saying that you are loosening the motor height adjustment screw, then tightening it again, or are you removing the motor plate mounting screws?

Also, does the motor stop turning, or is the adjustment screw just backing out far enough that the gears aren't turning any more?
If that's the case, use some blue loctite on the motor adjustment screw and be done with it.
