Question MP5 Mag Pulls

Ok boys, MP5 mag pulls, anybody have them? Are they worth anything, or are they pointless? The mags seem a little small to put them on, but they do make them for like 3-5 bucks a pop, I have 6 MP5 mid caps (Yikes).

The ony thing they really aid in doing is reloading slightly faster. Some people swear by MagPuls, while others don't really find them that helpful. It's up to you for the most part if you want to spend some money and try them out.

They might work very well, but I never tried them. Couldn't really endorse nor refute them either way.

Who knows though, they might turn out to be a smart investment... Maybe I should start looking into Stanag Magpuls.

I find they make it easier to get mags out of the pouches.

I have them on my M4 mags, and they do make it easier to grab in a jam, especially when you're hugging cover and you don't have a lot of room to move without being shot.

If you had an m4 yes, because I find that in some situations the mag may be to far for me to reach on my vest or it may be squeezed into my pouch to far. Now I haven't used a mp5 so I don't know but it seems like the mags would be easier to grab because they are so long. Thats the point of the magpuls to help you pull them out of the pouch, like I said it looks like you wouldn't have as much trouble pulling them out because of there length.

I personally suggest if you're on a budget just some duct tape and 550/paracord, that's where the design came from.

I saw some 12 year old kid last fall with the ghetto pulls, he said they were sweet. My buddy, Paul (Umbrella Corps) is pretty good with mag pulls, but I dont know if its worth it. Any other opinions?

The ducttape and paracord never fail. I used those for a while, and I was doing really well with them. Plus it's a lot cheaper, and WAY more 0p3r4t0r.

I don't think having magpuls and not needing them is ever a problem. Needing them and not having them...not so much.

I can also vouch for the ducktape/paracord method. Really cheap and it works.

Duct tape and paracord since I started playing, also have me real ones set up that way. If you braid three strands of paracord together you get a really heavy pull that will last forever and be easier to get to.

I think Lou has a good point though. It's really up to you to decide wether or not they're worth it. Personally, I would buy them anyway, just in case I do end up needing them somewhere down the road. Who knows, they might be a godsend for you if you're constantly needing to reload quickly.

I say buy a couple and try 'em out. Worst that could happen is you find you don't really need them at which point you could always sell them off to us.

I stand by this method. "ghetto pulls" work fantastically. I have 100mph tape holding on para-cord on all 12 of my m4 mags. It really helps to get them out of the pouch faster, and much easier considering how tightly they are packed into my pouches.

The actual magpuls are a bit pricey, so i would recommend this method over the magpuls. but whatever floats your boat.

I have 3 black Magpuls on my M4 mags and I love them. If you use open top mag pouches like I do they help them stay in the pouch and if you care about looks they do make your gun look pretty sweet. It might also help if you lose one of your mags because it is likely that someone else wont have them on an MP5 mag.
