Navy Seal load out qustiones?
I was thinking of making a Navy Seal load out and i was wondering what gear should I get? I am trying for the jungle look. Also I was wondering if a standard m14 would be good. I heard they used the m14 just for sniping is that true?

I'm guessing you got this inspiration off of Tears of the Sun...... Anyways I'd say give the M14 an M21 Look and put a scope, and bipod on it, even though DMR's in my opinion don't work in airsoft, but whatever floats your boat go for it! As for the Load bearing Gear, try to get one of these: http://www.pantacgear.com/pantac.gea...ctid-1698.html
That of course would be for a modern impression. But for Older, say 1990's get some ALICE LC-2 gear, Belt, suspenders, couple ammo pouches/canteen pouches and a buttpack. Try to get an ALICE medium rucksack too.
BDU's would be standard woodland BDU's with pockets modified to be put on the shoulders.
For boots get some Vietnam Jungle boots for 1990's, and for modern, some Altama Boots.
Gloves would be Nomex flight gloves
Woodland Boonie hat would be used.
That seems to be it, but this will be a more expensive route if you choose the modern route, the 90's one will be cheaper because of the ALICE gear.

Navy SEALs use an extensive array of firearms of both U.S. and foreign manufacture, several of which have been specifically developed for them or U.S. SOF in general. SEALs have latitude, within designated parameters, in their selection of primary and secondary weapons. The highly-accurate and versatile M4A1 Carbine is the standard issue weapon for SEAL operators, while pistols are usually carried as backup weapons. Weapons choice is always mission-dependent and the SEALs have a wide array of firearms from which to select the precise ones. Following is a representative list of firearms that Navy SEALs currently use, within each class of weapon:
Handguns:
* MK23 Mod 0 .45 cal SOCOM Offensive Handgun
* M11 Sig Sauer P228 (9mm)
Assault Rifles
* M4A1 with SOPMOD Accessory Kit (5.56mm)
Sniper Rifles
* M14 Sniper Rifle (7.62mm)
* MK11 Mod 0 Sniper Weapon System (7.62mm)
* M82A1 Heavy Sniper Rifle (.50 cal)
Submachine Guns
* HK MP5 Submachine Gun (9mm)
Machine Guns
* M60E3 Machine Gun and MK43 Mod 0 (7.62mm)
* M240 (7.62mm)
Combat Shotguns
* Benelli M4 Super 90 Shotgun
Grenade Launchers
* M203 Grenade Launcher (40mm)
Mortars
* M224 Mortar (60mm)
Anti-Tank Rockets
* M136 AT4 Light Anti-Tank Rocket
Hmm looks like it was only concerning firearms...well hope it helps

Seal loadouts are quite easy to do, I'd say just do a 90s one, i've done just my gear for around 30 bucks at a flea market, plus a boonie, and it looks alright with to me
I'd been considering this too lately and I just re-watched Tears of the Sun this week. The shirts they were wearing, or at least Bruce Willis's character was since he didn't have tac gear on his chest, had both the sleeve and chest pockets.
I was thinking of trying to make one of these and figured the easiest way would be to remove chest pockets from another BDU shirt and then attach them to the sleeves.
From what I can see in the film he took the lower chest pockets off his BDU's and put them on the sleeves. Which is cheaper than buying a whole nother BDU shirt

I actually have a few questions about a modern SEAL loadout (I didn't really want to start a new thread). Anyway, if I got this would it be appropriate (with a add on RIS rail)? Do SEALs wear Multicam? I guess that's it for now.
EDIT: Could I use Magpul parts?

Navy Seals use mainly the MK16 Mod 0 CQBR as their main weapon. They like to add a crane stock, Aimpoint red dot, and PEQ and a vertical foregrip to it. Here is a CQBR for example:http://media.photobucket.com/image/m...r/IMG_0945.jpg
Seals do not wear Multicam, Airforce PJ's and Rangers do however. Seals wear DCU's, or Desert Marpat with the RAID mod(velcro on the shoulders).

How do you get the RAID mod with old regular bdu's? Is it possible?
Snipez-Technically it's not Desert MARPAT, it's AOR1. It's extremely close to MARPAT though. Also, you can do RAID modding yourself if you're okay with a sewing machine and buy some velcro.

Just a quick glance through this thread, I'd like to add a couple things:
Silent Snipez: SEALs do wear multicam. I have seen multiple pictures of SEALs rocking everything from full Crye kit, to rocking Tru-Spec multicam TRU's. And as stated already by CMP5, the new MARPAT looking cammies you see Team guys wearing is called AOR1 or DIGI2. Very similar to desert MARPAT, but off by just enough. Plus, its produced by Crye Precision as well.
As for the Tears of the Sun inspired BDU's, the prop guys replicated early RAID modified BDUs. All they did was take the lower pockets of the blouse off and put them on the shoulders of the jacket. Look into Tru-Specs Tactical Response Uniform line if you want an off the shelf RAID modified blouse.
Just a cool little tidbit of info: RAID modified BDUs actually have their origins from WW2 Airborne troops who modified their jump blouses so they had easier access to their pockets while wearing their parachute rigging and Mae West vests.

Thanks for the little bit of info. My brain is somewhere else now since I focused on Vietnam gear instead of modern. Thanks man!

Incase one of you wanted to go cheap but retro at the same time, why not just get a vietnam SEAL kit? It's extremely cheap. Here is my kitlist that I have currently for my SEAL loadout.
-Levi Blue Jeans
-ERDL top Green Dominant
-Jungle Boots
-OD Poplin Boonie/ Bandanna/OD neckerchief
-Chicom Chest Rig
-M56 Web Gear(Suspenders,Belt, 2 ammo pouches and 2 canteen covers)
And that's pretty much it. M56 stuff is dirt cheap and I get my pouches for 5 bucks a pop! You can also use an HK33(Yes Seals Used them) and M21's/M14's instead of the M16vn and Car 15 if strapped on cash. Also, Just because I said it's cheap do not shortcut it, use my picutres I linked and research! This is just the cheapest type of SEAL kit for vietnam instead of using Tiger Stripe(the Real ones not Rothco) Now onto the picutres....
