Operation Wild Weasel

Here's a somewhat easier force-on-force scenario centered around a partially-scripted "downed pilot" situation:

A USAF Wild Weasel Pilot has become a victim of the most obvious risk in his occupation. As someone whose trade is to draw out Anti-aircraft systems for other friendly planes to destroy, this pilot lucked out and had to eject in a contested territory to avoid going down with his aircraft. Thankfully, he has already made his way to safety among a fair-sized group of rebels opposing the local authoritarian government, whom the U.S. wishes to remove in order to protect their interests in the name of freedom and democracy. A squad of U.S. Special Forces is sent into the area to extract the pilot and assist the rebels in defending their headquarters from a rumored attack by the government forces. This is not an easy task, as the Rebels are disciplined, but somewhat outnumbered, though with the additional firepower of the well-trained special forces team, the odds may be in the favor of the rebels.

Forces involved and recommended equipment:
* Spec ops squad (Minimum number 8 people, Maximum number 12 people), heavily armed and carrying as much ammunition as they are comfortable with.

* Government forces troops, (maximum 10 more people than the Rebels) carrying light equipment, with extra ammunition available in certain areas secured behind the front line.

*Rebels, (20-30 people) carrying varying levels of equipment, with a designated ammo cache in a specific area of the base, but can be moved for convenience.

*SOCOM officer, (off-field) monitoring status of Special Forces Team and Rebels by proxy.

*OpFor leader, (off-field) commanding the movements of government forces in the AO

Objectives:

Special Forces Team- Avoid detection by enemy, link up with rebel forces, Confirm safety of Pilot, assist Rebels if need arises, extract the pilot to the designated LZ.

Government troops- Actively keep watch for intruders, await orders concerning attack on resistance HQ, capture/execute downed pilot.

Rebels- Assist Special Forces Team, fend off government attack, protect US pilot, providing him with a weapon if necessary, and ensure U.S. Special Forces extract the pilot safely.

AO tips & instructions: this situation works best in an area with defined and defensible structures, such as the village. Special Forces will insert at safe zone and proceed to Pilot's location. Along the way, they are advised not to engage enemy forces unless absolutely necessary. When the pilot has been secured, SOCOM officer will move the scenario along and confirming the pilot's safety. This should prompt government forces to attempt routing out the rebels, spec ops team, and pilot via command of their off-field commander. This is the main firefight, and strategy is necessary for either side to win the scenario. if Special Forces team is successful in assisting the rebels, they can safely move to the LZ with escort from the rebels. To win the scenario, the Pilot must be successfully extracted.
