Hi everybody, I am looking at buying a TM p90 but I have a couple of questions.
First off I am torn between the Tr and the built in red dot scope
in the red dot version can you take the red dot off and mount a rail in it's place? also can you separately buy two rails for the sides so that you convert it in to the TR. basically can you convert the red dot into the TR.
So whats your input, which one will end up being cheaper in the long run?
Also any rails etc. thatt you say are mountable it would be great if you could give me the link to them considering I suck at finding those kinds of thing :D.
and finally would you suggest me rather getting some other airsoft gun? I really want it to be bullpup though.

Reason: adding things
Have you been out to play with us yet?
You will find that a lot of your questions can be answered by seeing what others are using, and asking them if you can take a few shots with their guns.
You might find that you want a gun with a longer barrel for outdoor games, or you may solidify your choice in a P90 if you enjoy more of a CQB type of game.
Not saying you can't use a P90 outdoors because a lot of people do. I'm just saying that getting out with the group will help you find your way when it comes to new purchases.
Red dot site built in I find best. Also I'm not sure about detatching it and replacing it with the tri rail. There's one rail on the right side of the gun with it though and that's it.
If you find me at a game I'm at I'll let you shoot my P90 with a built in RDS.
I've shot coeus/jay's p90 RDS I't was cool although I don't think the red dot was illuminated when I shot it. anyways are you going to be at the LVP game (p90)?

Moo. No. Unless Steve is going and wants to give me a ride /
Sorry I won't. I will probably be at another Poco Loco game in the next month or so. It all depends on my and other people's schedules. But I'm ALWAYS at Lingelstown. And other people have P90's too! Of course, their's might not have the magic touch of mine, but it'll do.
Personally, I like the built-in Red Dot, but I don't use it often. I liked having the variety that I had when using the Tri-Rail (again, I don't use my sights near enough at all - not nearly as much as I should at any rate).
Without drilling sawing & dremmeling, no there isn't any way you can mount a 2nd and 3rd rail on the Red Dot version (doing so would ruin the RDS as well likely). You could try to glue a rail on there, but I wouldn't wager pennies on how long THAT would last.
/Does your P90 even work Patrick?

yea sorry I meant the red dot would be cheaper. But anyways one last question. So the RDS p90 has the red dot and one rail on the side of it right? and there is no possible way to put another rail on the other side. ok I'm rocking the RD unless anyone can give me any other bullpups that they think are better nothing to big though. I was looking at the STAR l85 but that's way out of my price range.

And by pics, I mean I expect to see a house flying behind you in a hurricane with you standing happily in the foreground shooting the P90.
We played one day and experienced all four seasons. Randy was there. It was sunny, then it snowed w/thunder, then hail, then rain. Temperature must have changed by 40 degrees in a three hour period.
P90 magazines require a little extra preventative maintenance, but in the end I think they are well worth it when you consider the overall package you get with a P90. Compact, sexy, reliable, sexy... did I mention that it's a sexy little AEG? I have not used any of the M4 magazine conversion kits, so I can't help you there.

Top that!
You were probably just screwing around with the C3 weather machine the night before, and accidentally left it on "apocalypse". Big deal.
I figured that since it sounds like everybody has troubble with regular p90 mags(p90 airsoft) that this may be better.
That just looks wrong. Yes P90 mags need a little more TLC than other high caps but there are also pros to it . The high cap doesn't rattle like standard M4 high caps and it feels to the last bbs.
I find that while the maintenance is a little more involved, it is required extremely less frequently.
Of my three main highcaps that I've used over the years (150,000-160,000 rounds combined total by my estimate, probably higher - I'm very heavy on the trigger) I've only had to replace one of them, and that was due to me losing some pieces to it DURING the lubing & cleaning. I've only had to do an in-depth job of it three times in 4 years, and really... "in-depth" for a P90 highcap is about 10 minutes per magazine. It's just disassembly, sparse lubing and reassembly

How about the TM famas? It looks like it works well. the only thing is the size, since I'm small how do you think it would work on me, also the weight? but then again it has that nice 1000 rpm's.

Not sure about the sizing of the FAMAS, but be warned that bullpups are a pain to use in some respects- awkward reloads, uncomfortable when firing from odd positions, random little thing like that. Also, I am not 100% sure on the ability of the FAMAS to accept STANAG (M4) magazines.
Just my two cents worth of knowledge on this.

yea, the only thing about a regular gun is that I am to small, unless I get a mp5 or a ump.
What my plan was with the p90 was to get a barrel extension so it isin't quite as small but also more accurate :). Right now I have an m4, which is big. SO I decided to have one bullpup and one regular. Pretty soon I am going to upgrade the heck out of my m4.
Yea awkward reloads are one thing. the p90 doesn't seem quite as awkward though, is it?

Trust me, you don't need a barrel extension. I've been using mine for like 2 years and all I've got was a tightbore and I just saw some accuracy increase, not much more range. It's already AMAZING.
Reloads aren't too bad. One thing I did is turned my mag pouches upside down, so I pull them out the bottom. I did this because you can just yank it out, and you're not hitting yourself in the face.
