Dozens of air guns and a 9mm rifle with no ammo.

Yeaaaah.

I love how the replica weapons are "proof" that he was up to shenanigans. Still, can't be too safe, I guess.

I saw this on the new, forgot what channel it was. But i looked at those G36 mags the police had layed out, OBVIOUSLY airsoft. The anchor was one of those red neckish soccer moms, she was acting a bit ignorant in my opinion.

Bear in mind, the G36 standard mags are obviously airsoft only if you're familiar with both realsteel and airsoft G36s. A fair number of people wouldn't know that a hicap winder is only found in airsoft. Airsoft guns are designed to be indistiguishable from realsteel, that is part of their appeal. But it also can be perceived in other ways. Pictures of weapons caches frequently have menacing looking airsoft guns front and center, some with orange tips or Japanese warning stickers still on. To 99 percent of viewers, it was an arsenal of machine guns, even if they mentioned that only one of them was an actual firearm. There's also a big difference in perception between a kid having a toy gun, and a kid having an arsenal of replica weapons.
