Recon, I suggest using the search button to look at options for new guns. Assuming that you've never played organized airsoft, I wouldn't suggest shelling out $250+ for your first gun. Look at the Echo 1s there great. I've never owned an echo 1, but many members here can speak for the quality of the company, and ALL of its guns. If you want to spend that much money on your first gun, then go ahead go crazy, I think its a hefty cost after bbs, field fee, extra magazines, and tactical gear.

Meh, if it shoots and you will have fun running in the woods with it, bring it. Most people replace them because they break, not because they aren't playable.

Quoted for truth. Even if it's only a few extra dollars, it's better to have and not need than to need and not have.

Welcome to the forums! The answer is no. They have games posted all the time on here just either search or go to the "New User's Section". They usually alternate between Linglestown and Poco Loco, so just keep a look out for game threads.

On a more serious note, make sure to read all the rules or one of the admins will most likely tell you to do so in a way you might not appreciate. This is a very professional forum and they expect the highest of standards for forums. So, be ABSOLUTELY sure to read the "New User's Section"!

As jjrizzuto said, watch the forums for the weekly game thread (it will appear in the General section). The old posts here are still highly relevent, and any time there is a change in how we announce our weekly games it will appear in the thread. Why don't you make an introduction post and say hi to everyone? Don't forget to read the Forum Rules & Stickies!

Hey I have a question for the Castle FPS limit at Poco Loco. The FPS limit is 350, but what does that mean? Like does it mean average, or about, or if your gun fires above 350 anytime in 3 bbs fired, you can't use it in the castle. Cause I have an Airsoft Elite MP5 that Shorty's says 370fps and GI says 350 so I am guessing 360ish. Is it a loose requirement like if I am firing 345, 351, and 360 in 3 shots, I am fine?

Thanks.

If the gun fires once above 350, and the other times it's below, usually we let it slide as a fluke, and you;re in the lower range. If the gun fires at the example FPS's you gave (345, 351, 360), or just seems to tend to fire hotter than 350, you're in the 35' minimum engagement range, and the gun will not be allowed in the castle, no question about it.

And can we use velocity reducers? I ask this because I know that the rules are copied from a different forum and I didn't know if the velocity reducers are acceptable for poco loco or lp

And can you dual wield pistols? My friend was going to use his glocks in the castle if he was allowed to.

Thats a negative on the velocity reducers because they can be taken out to easily. And sure you can dual wield pistols, as long as they are both under 350fps of coarse.

What the hell are you talking about? We wrote those rules ourselves based on our experiences on the field. They aren't copied from anywhere.

If it's written here, it's the rules. No exceptions.

Yeah, full paintball masks are perfectly fine.

If we come and our guns don't have a paintball barrel sock, should we leave the gun in the car, go buy a barrel sock, walk back to the car and put the sock on and THEN walk to the staging area or can we just bring the gun in and go straight to buy a barrel sock.

No, just make sure you have your MAG OUT and keep the barrel pointed in a safe direction.

Set your gun & other junk on the table and go buy a barrel sock.

Newbie Hi guys

I have a few questions, and I'm sorry ahead of time if this isn't the correct place to ask them.

1. Will there be time for me to test fire my sniper rifle to get the scope at least somewhat close to centered to where the bb's actually go (it's a new gun) at pocoloco before the OP?

2. Is it necessary to have a case for my airsoft rifle to carry it from the car into poco loco or is it just understood that people have airsoft guns there? (it doesn't fit in the original box assembled)

3. How much is it to rent a pair of goggles at poco loco? (I ordered a pair online but I don't know if I will get them in time)

Thanks everyone,
Tim

1) Yes

2) No case is required. We only recommend a rifle case to keep airsoft out of sight of the general public.

3) I think it's $5

Not a dumb question at all.

C3 handles airsoft for PL. We schedule and run the games on their fields. Check out the General forum to see when there is a game.

Unsure. The best thing you can do is call your local paintball places and see if there are other airsofters playing there.

Being new to airsoft, I don't even know if I'm going to stick with airsoft. Do they have equipment that I can rent for AIRSOFT at poco loco?

On a day when C3 is there, yes you can just show up and play. However, you cannot just show up and play airsoft if C3 is not there. The field owners at both PL and LP want us there to take care of the players.

Did you read this thread? The post right above yours answers your question.
You also should read the stickies in the New User Section. They will answer most of your questions.

We will post a game when we are having one. That will be a sticky in the General forum.

Also, do yourself a favor and don't use AIM, or abbreviated words. See what the word filter did to your post?
Oh, and welcome to the forum.

It's a filter. Any IM-speak gets filtered to something less useful.

Why don't you make an intro thread instead of posting in this one?
