My friend peter played with you guys one time and said your hardcore on saftey which is a good thing. Plus I want to be ready for my first game and dont want to look like the dumb new kid.
Unfortunately thats a "no" on both counts. Poco Loco requires us to use paintball barrel socks, and reqular plugs, while they work just fine, cant be used due to insurance liability reasons.
As for the goggles, you need full seal (that means there are no gaps around the perimeter of the goggle and your face), and ANSI rated goggles. Your link shows regular shooting glasses, whcih are fine when you are just shielding your eyes from ejected brass, but do not protect you that much when a stream of BBs finds you on the playing field.

No to both of those. A gun must have a paintball barrel sock in order to comply with regulations.
Shooting glasses are not permitted. Only full seal ANSI rated goggles that form a FULL seal around you eyes are allowed. No mesh, no lab goggles, no shooting glasses.

A word about the goggles rule since you guys have trouble reading the previous posts.
Whatever goggles you wear, they must be full seal, and they must be able to withstand a hit from a paintball gun. Even if they have an ANSI rating, they MUST be able to take the hit. Smith OTG goggles are ANSI rated but cannot take a hit from a paintball gun, so they are not allowed when we are sharing the field with paintballers. They are fine for airsoft-only days (like the upcoming event), but if you can see a paintballer, don't even try to use them.
Additionally, the field owners at PL and LP both have the final say on what is approved eye wear at their fields.
ALL of this info has been previously stated in this thread and MANY other places on this forum. PLEASE start using the search feature. Just because it's a new question for you doesn't mean it hasn't been answered before.

Most of my hits are shots on the face or the head. That's usually what's exposed for other players to shoot at.
That's true. Whenever I'm in a skirmish the person just peakes their head and gun up. That's pretty much the only place you can shoot them, unless you're behind them... :)

Airsoft, If you mean whether or not wearing full seal ansi rated goggles and a helmet count as protection for being under 18, no it does not count. You have to wear something covering your face.
Helmets are worn for two reasons, looking tacticool and having the extra hit that Dave mentioned.

as a previous hardcore "no-way-I'm-going-to-use-a-paintball-mask" guy who has recently made the switch, I can say IT IS NO BIG DEAL....
a good paintball mask sits off your face far enough for good ventilation....in the summer MAYBE you put on a cheap fan....however, if you keep moving, you're less likely to fog....
lenses on good masks are totally clear and easy to clean too so visibility is awesome....so get a GOOD paintball masks, don't cheap out......and yes, maybe you do have to switch to scopes with longer eye reliefs, I'll give you that....
the paintball masks are kind of empowering too, to know that if you get totally lit up in the head, that it won't hurt.....takes out fear factor, adds aggressive factor.....
lastly, I witnessed recently a broken tooth event that happen THROUGH a baclava...the bb was from a GBB 20 feet away......it was a bit painful when it happened and the later trips to the dentist were just plain annoying....
