Echo 1 - Stag 15
Here is the start of my review of the Echo 1 Stag 15. This is my second review, so I will do it somewhat the same as my first one on my m14. I will keep this updated with the good and the bad just check back periodically.
First Impressions:
-The first thing I took notice to after opening the box was the flat black receiver. It isn't shiny or obviously made of plastic like some are, but could pass as metal from a few feet away. The plastic it's made of does not feel like cheap plastic, but feels similar to my Tokyo Marui m16.
-The trademarks are a nice addition on the receiver.

Metal Parts: Outer Barrel, Front Sight/Rear Sight, Windage/Elevation Adjusters, Charging Handle, Carry Handle Screws, Trigger/Guard, Selector Switch, Piece that holds the two halfs of the hand grip together.
-To access the hop-up, you simply pull back the charging handle like many other m4/16 models.
-Unscrew the two "screws" on the left side of the carry handle to access the rail on top of the receiver. The carry handle scope mount I have does not fit on this gun, other models may but mine does not.
Magazine Compatibility: A question that comes up frequently, here is what I have found so far.
A: G&P M4 Mid Cap. Fits in mag well very well, not tight/or loose. Falls out when you push the mag release. All four of mine feed great.
B: Echo1/JG 300rnd. High Cap. Mag that came with the gun, as expected feeds well and fits well.
C: Tokyo Marui nam style high cap. DOES NOT FIT. VERY TIGHT, DOES NOT FEED, DO NOT USE.
Negative Points:
-There were three things that put up a flag on my first look over, the rear site and the sling attachment points.
-The rear site moves around quite a bit. I don't think it will fall off easily but if it gets hit by a wall, ect. I could come off.
-The sling attachments are the second down fall, they are plastic.
-The third negative point was that it came with a defective battery that won't hold a charge for more than 20 shots or so.
First impression comes with more good than bad, next up is in game performance.

First Game
First game with this gun was yesterday at Op: Hotel Sierra. It performed great all day with more high points than low ones.
The Good:
-The M4 is shorter than either my M14 or M16 so I felt better about using it around walls and windows.
-Despite the shorter barrel, it was accurate to about 120 feet. I could easily hit my target from one window to another, or across a street.
-The M4 is lighter than my other weapons so it is easier to run around with it all day.
-Because of the defective battery it came with, I bought an 8.4v 1600mah Intellect Battery which lasted all day without any noticeable "wear down".
-Depending on your mask, you can easily use the iron sights with a pb mask (at least I can with mine). The plastic sling mounts held up well.
The Bad:
-I experienced double feeds a couple of times throughout the day, but it does not seem like a huge issue.
-The trigger "locked up" twice over the course of the day. To fix it, simply switch to auto, fire a burst, and go back to semi.
Thats it for now, I hope this offers some useful information to someone looking to buy this gun. Check back for updates in the future.
