I'm a firm believer that JG wouldn't be where they are in the MPEG world if Echo1 hadn't stepped in. If anyone else here owns or owned any of the original JG's; you can probably attest to this.
Other companies are starting to step up their game, and Echo1 has rebranded both Dboys and CYMA Ak's, and the Echo1 M14 v3 is actually the CYMA M14. I can't tell you that it's a great gun in the long run; but mine's been running fine for 6 months. As nice as some of the clones are getting however...
...TM is still the best gun for anyone's first AEG, even with the clones available. You just can't tell with Clones yet.

I agree with VS. i think clones are a really getting better. my CM031 is a copy of the Classic Army SLR-105. Yeah i know its a CYMA, and i'm taking a big risk, but i couldn't afford a CA or a TM.

I don't follow. They're all toys. That's all airsoft is... toy guns
Maybe I should qualify that as "low quality" toy. Whatever is on the front page there.
Overall I think it is a great post to send newbs to but they ask about other popular brands so I thought I would mention the KWA. I guess the rule of "you get what you pay for" applies for the most part.

I was at my friends house (mafiaboss) and he pulled out a hangun and shot me in the arm in his room. I cried (I was in 3rd grade, ok?). He told me it was an AIRSOFT gun and we had fun with it, shooting down set up army-men in his room.
So some time later i was at dicks with mom and i saw one of those clear automatic AA battery guns and bought it for 30$. (I still have it today and it works belive it or not!)
So a bit later i wanted a side arm so i bought a "sig sauer" p226 clear spring pistol for 20$. I still have it today belive it or not, the only problem is you have to hold the mag in the gun.
Then after several or my friends had guns i need power somthing that they would fear so i bought a clear pumpaction shotgun for 30$. that gun was the best! Until my friend broke it.
Then After it broke i wanted an automatic gun one that would make me win so i bought a 5$ m4 on ebay. I laugh at my self now, because it broke after the first shot.
so then i thought ok i need to spend more so i bought some automatic gun from ebay that was 30$ well it atleast shot but after a week the bbs flew 6 feet and then dropped. so I thought all airsoft eletric guns were crap. At the time i thought the most espensive airsoftgun was 50$.
So i got a well spring m16 vn off ebay for ah maybe 25$. Well it was a good gun it just wasnt geting the kills i wanted. That gun still works today too, but the stock is snapped and you have to hold the mag in the gun.
So then i decided to get a sniper so i got the super 9 pro. for 70$. I got it a year ago and still have it and it still shoots fine. The super 9 pro shoots as accurte as a name brand aeg its just you have to cock it every shot.
but anyway my friend told me about all the different brands of aegs and pretty much lifted me out of backyard airsoft and showed me orginized airsoft with rules white bbs and more than 5 people running around.
so the next gun i bought was a tsd m14 for 130$. i loved that gun until the day it broke it lasted me weekend after weekend more than half year. So then i bought an tokyo mauri m16 vn for 250$ and then sold it and got a tokyo marui ak.
Overall i spent over 590$ on guns alone.if i got a tokyo marui in the very beginng i would be rich . So please dont do the same thing I did> Just buy the damn Tokyo marui!

The super9? The gun that is most universally regarded as the WORST airsoft junker ever to come from the mind of a twisted Chinese clone factory designer? The same gun that you're lucky if you get 1 in 10 shots to break the 50' mark?
Tell you what - if you bring out your Super9 and it has the range and accuracy as my P90 I'll buy you lunch. Thats how much experience has taught me that the Super9 is utter junk.

I don't argue that the super 9 isn't as good as name brand aeg's maybe even clones. BUT I don't think it is a total piece of trash.
Back when I was new to airsoft, I was looking at sniper rifles and of course had no idea that high end brands existed. So I was looking through the lower end of the gauge of guns. And when I found the Super 9, it looked awesome. Ejecting shells? No way!
Since then I have ceased to be amazed with it, but all of my friends seem to have no problem sniping me when I'm running.(I lend it to them) I don't know if I ended up getting one that was better than the usual Super 9's, because me nor my friends have had any real problems with it.
Note: I bought the Super 9 two years ago. No joke.
I'm just getting into airsoft and was considering buying an Echo 1 G36c or a TSD G36 and was wondering which would be of better quality/which I would have less issues with. I'm kind of on a budget and these are affordable, but a TM is, unfortunately, out of reach at the moment. Just wondering what your guys' opinion would be.
My JG G36 is great, at least so far. I have put 15k+ rounds through it, and it has held up so far.
Is the TSD the SRC one?
I don't have a TSD G36, but i know VS does.

well my DE is actually pretty good. ts a DE UMP, the one that is my picture and its lasted about 6 months through rigorous games. it shoots fine and is still accurate. so i guess i just got lucky and got a good DE. wo knows

I was online buying an inner barrel today, and I noticed this in Trinity Airsoft's terms and conditions of sale:

so what has been happening to the new ones becaue my freind wants to get one of the m-4.
Dude, seriously, how the hell are we supposed to know. Do any of us work for CA? Look at what I posted and take it for what it's worth. If a RETAILER is telling you the guns are ****, what does that say?
And I think you answered your own question earlier

my freind has one but its barely stock any more
If he had to replace parts, what does that say about the quality?
