Spring Chart

The folks over at Airsoft Canada took the time to plot out exactly what spring does what and put it into a chart for the public.

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/SpringChart.html

It's pretty accurate too.

ANd then there's the mecbox.com charts as well
http://www.mechbox.com/site/inside-t...son-chart.html

Both are great information to have.

Agree with it's accuracy

I've been using this for a few months and it is incredibly accurate....I've tried about 4 of the various springs and have settled on the PDI150 and the Guarder SP110.....

I have used them across a CA33, M15, G36, and a couple UTG's ....all work equally well in terms of FPS and Speed.

Motor in most cases was a Systema High-speed or Classic Army High Speed.

On average the FPS consistently at .340-360FPS with a .23 bb (I love these things) or ~385-400FPS with a .20. The setup was consistent with the charts baseline.

I'm planning to try the Top Power 170% next, but am currently struggling to find one...anyone know where I can find one?

Would sure be nice to have a home chrono to do this type of testing...maybe for Christmas?

just to clarify - the P90 was shooting around its stock speed before the springs were installed, right? So in order to see just how much FPS was gained, I'd subtract the resulting FPS from the stock FPS?

Each FPS that was chronoed (highlighted in blue) would be subtracted from from 290. As it says in bold. then you get the difference. Basically everything that is in blue hightlight was added going along. Thus getting that FPS result.

d'oh - I was looking at the mechbox version of the chart when I posted that, and I think the last time I looked at the airsoft canada one I just zoned out and didn't notice the base FPS that's RIGHT THERE
