Quick qustion about the Type 96's out there. With the type of stock/grip they come with, are they "lefty friendly" or should I be looking more at a M24 type of rifle.
I would suggest getting a asr as you can change the handle to "lefty" .
So what's the difference other than included bipod from the ECHO1 ASR and the Well MB06? Evike has the OEM of the Echo ASR as Well, are they the same gun and priced differently, kinda like Toyata & Lexus?
You can make a lefty VSR, but it's no simple task, nor is it "free."
My VSR on the left, and Jandy's lefty on the right. Still a work in progress, but it's about 95% done now.

Very nice!
Not sure how lefty I want to go. I grew up shooting real guns lefty, but they were all right handed guns, and I really had no issues, except with pistols ( I enjoy licking my toilet, H&K). I am mainly concerned with egornomics of the grip on the left hand.
Why is it so hard for us to find things that work, we are the only ones in our right mind and all

You'll just have to get out and play with it and see if the left/right issues becomes an inconvenience for you while in battle.
I've been playing with the righty VSR for a while and its been great fun, however, I waste a lot of time moving the gun from left side to right side to cock-it in between each shot. It's hard to shoot prone and stay hidden/motionless if you're always moving the gun around to cock it. It's like some slow-motion yoga maneuver.
