This is fairly good info.
The foam mod for the stock I did with a spray Insulation Foam. This really expands so you have to be VERY careful or you have a hell of a mess. (Been there)
The spacer on the bolt mod is getting abit of a gamble. You will be placeing AOT of stress on the trigger box and spring. The spring isn't the best. After being compressed that far will weaken the spring over time and cause loss in FPS.
Teflon tape on the the cyl head is a fast and easy thing to do.
Now placing epoxy on the bolt, I wont say that it does't work. Keep in mind if you damage the bolt you will have to buy a new Cylinder to get a replacement bolt you messed up.
I'm no Airsoft Master Builder but, everyone knows the hop up unit on the UTG L96 is a poop design. 2 hard plastic nubs pressing on a rubber bucking do nothing but cause damage to the bucking very quickly.
Alot of the info in this guide I will agree with is you are trying to do a backyard no $$$ upgrade gamble.
I only commented on this just beacuse I would hate to see some of you guys start pulling you L96's apart at the seams and ending up having to replace parts that were damaged thinking this will turn your L96 into a 100yrd rifle.

This is NOT what I put in my L96. What I put in my rifle was just the newer stock cyl set. Everything is the same as before except the spring ( from what I've been told) is better quality and wont lose tention as fast.
Smokedvilfire, I'm asking what was the outcome with fps ect.. I already have done several upgrades to my L96 with a good outcome.

Oh okay my fps increase was about 70 ~ 50 increase as I had used a hard set and kept the standard spring I am shooting 400-450 pretty solidy .Also I wouldn't recommend getting anything over a 160 my 170 was shooting 510-550 !

Right now with the newer version stock bolt ,Im shooting 467 fps with stock internals. So far its been holding solid most of the summer. Only upgrades are the barrel and Hop up unit.

540-570FPS Thats sick. Thanks for the link Lil Fella. Now the only problem I have or I mean you have is, Me slapping you around for making me spend ANOTHER $50 on this rifle. You can never trust the FPS rating these fools give for things. Maybe someone will beat me to this so we see the outcome on FPS That would save me $50 and save Mike a "whoooopin"

How much wear do you think the metal piston with the stock spring and the new spring. Would it break a sear quickly?
Well this is a UTG upgrade. Im sure some testing has been done to reduce issues. This is something I have said before. Everyone has a theory on what spring a stock trigger box can handle. The only issue is who has really put it to the test? If it does where out the sears, so what a new trigger box from UTG is like $12. In a few weeks I will be the guinea pig. My main concern is the FPS. If it chronos to high I will just use my spring with the new upgrade parts.
