Hey guys I've been looking for a good sniper and I was just wondering what the dig is on the HFC vsr-11, Does it shoot to hot to play with, is it good stock, is it reliable, and is it upgradeable?

$140 for a 430 fps gas rifle? I wouldn't trust that thing as far as I could throw it. (Though I bet I could throw it pretty far...)
If you want something that you can run with, get a bar-10 or L96 from a reputable company. If you want to really go balls out, pick up a real TM VSR-10. There are also tons... metric tons of threads and information on here comparing all these different rifles, so look around. (Hint, the majority of them say L96 or BAR-10 and $$$ of upgrades)

yea the only thing was at LVP I tried shooting a BAR-10 and it was really hard for me to cock, I had to un-shoulder it. So unless there is a way around that I kind of said I need a gas sniper.

When I went to a M150 spring in my VSR10, it got hard to pull. I fixed that by adding a Teflon coated cylinder which made a big difference.
As for Gas guns. Maruzen makes some great ones and they are very easy to cycle, BUT, as the gas expands out as it depletes you will notice that consistency between shots suffers. It will be much harder to compensate for follow on shots at really long ranges. The TMVSR11 is a VSR10 with a gas bolt instead of a spring. The advantages of it is all those TM compatible parts are compatible with the gas operated replica too, but they are also pretty rare.
The UHC and HFC and who ever it is ever clone of a clone are in my opinion to be avoided. The JG BAR10 is the only clone I would recommend (I have a TM, a JG and a HFC to compare) The HFC falls way short in quality of components compared to the other two manufactures.

If you want to be a sniper, but you cannot handle a heavier bolt pull, you could always keep your VSR running at around 328 FPS (1 joule) and throw a Tanio Koba Twist barrel in your gun. These barrels make your gun shoot STRAIGHT and give superb accuracy out to 200 feet +

I want to add, I have NOT tested this yet, I have yet to find a PLACE to do a scientific or at least test of accuracy and consistency yet, OTHERS have said that the above is true, and I have this set up, but I CAN NOT recommend it as a option YET. I will say that the TK Twist barrels seat of the pants experience has been positive so far though. But that is only with 10s of BB fired.

If you want a cheap sniper rifle that is relatively cheap to upgrade (compared to other models, that is), the UTG L96 is a good option. Just installing the UTG upgrade kit as well as maybe a new barrel will yield a pretty dramatic increase in performance, making it a much more economical choice overall.
If of course, you wanted to go the extra mile, you could always pick up one of the PDI Hop-ups too. They're probably one of the biggest barriers in upgrading the L96, but are well worth it in the end.
But if you're set on getting a VSR of some type, I'd recommend either going with a Tokyo Marui, or if you can find it, the JG BAR-10. Upgrading either option can get expensive and somewhat time-consuming, but if you've got the time and money, they can become VERY consistent.
Yeah I've been looking to start learning how to upgrade and how airsoft guns work as a whole so I'm going with the Bar-10 G-spec.
Just ask Steve! He taught me how to open up my rifle, and it's the first gun I didn't DESTROY when I opened it up. Thanks to the Wal Mart of Airsoft's guidance!
