Wipe Down?

After a long day running through the snow and getting snow all over my weapon, I like to use _____________ to clean my gun.

Please fill in the blank. I mean what should I use?? Is simple green ok??? or WD40 to wipe down the body? Turtle wax, you know just so the BB's will glide off of you and your weapon.

RE: Wipe Down?

I use Military issued CLP or LSA you might know CLP as “BREAK-FREE CLP” and I don’t know if LSA is available in the Civi Market, it probably is, the reason I use this stuff is because I have quite a bit of it, and all the parts on my gun that should be steel, are. This might seem like overkill because I have no carbon to bust or remove from my gun, but I haven’t had to buy any cleaning supplies in a long time. The issue with using these products is that you do not want to get it on anything rubber O rings or any painted parts like the receiver if yours is made of metal.

As far as any of my plastic guns I just wipe them down if they are so privileged to be wiped down.

RE: Wipe Down?

I've never had any issues with a towel or paper towel to dry, and pure silicone oil as protectorant and solvent. One of those silicone gun cloths works wonders, too.

RE: Wipe Down?

I use Windex to clean my AEG, and of course clean the inner barrel after every game with silicone and a cleaning rod.

The problem with snow is water might get into your gun, and if it has metal body parts that can mean rust (but personally mine has been fine for 20+ games through rain and snow).
